Mission Trips
Missionary outreach is an integral portion of the church. We encourage our young people to allow their faith to grow to maturity through taking part in short-term missions projects organized by the church.
Participants have returned home with a greater vision of God's work in the world, a warmer love for His people, and an enthusiasm for further involvement with church, and community. It's all about making a lasting impression—on your life and on the lives of others.

Genesis Choir - Choir Tour 2006
The Genesis Choir traveled to Fresno, California from July 9th through the 15th. They worked closely with the Fresno Interdenominational Refugee Ministries, using their music and their hearts to communicate God's love to some of the over 1,800 Southeast Asian and Ethiopian refugees that Fresno takes in every year.
Also during that week, Genesis members worked for the Fresno Rescue Mission. They sung at various locations culminating with an appearance at the mission's Open House on July 15th.

Genesis Choir - Choir Tour 2005
The Genesis Choir embarked on a Choir Mission Tour on Tuesday July 19, 2005
and spent 6 days together, serving the Tri-Cities area of Washington State.
We were hosted during that time by the kind people at West Side Church, This
is Pastor Mark’s former congregation.
Over those several days, Genesis learned a lot about serving others through
music and worship, about how God can work through us in spite of language
barriers, about working with each other toward a common cause, and about
just how wonderful it can be to concentrate on the serving the Lord 24/7.

MHPC Youth Mexico Mission Trip 2005
Mexico - Rancho De Sus Ninos
The trip was a great success.
Rancho De Sus
Ninos (RDSN) is located in between Tecate and Tijuana and serves the
surrounding Colonias. The Colonias are the local villages where the poorer
percentages of the population live. The Rancho seeks to serve those
communities through a variety of ministries including:
- Coordinating local church services
- Organizing and running a VBS at a daycare
- Facilitating and advertising for an evangelical
outreach event in a local Colonia
Each day was action packed at the orphanage. We woke up
around 7:00 and often did not get back from our afternoon ministry until
9:30, when we had dinner. Students were involved in devotional activities
twice a day. Of course life at RDSN also took a lot of adjusting to...
- Only portable restrooms (affectionately name 1st, 2nd
and 3rd John)
- Two shower max during the week (military style)
- Chewy drinking water (imported so it is pure, but
still filled with minerals)
